Arrived in Indiana
We arrived in Indiana, the state where my father grew up. He came to Rhode Island after college to start a church. Much of his family is still out in Indiana. When we were kids, we took an annual trip out to Indiana to visit everyone.
It’s been about five years since Jeff & I were last here. The last time was for my grandmother’s funeral. One thing that hasn’t changed since we were last here is all the fields of corn. When I came with my family when I was young, it was usually summer and the corn stalks were still green. Since it’s around harvest time, everything is dry and brown.
We’re hoping to spend some time connecting with my family here and visit few churchs during the next couple of weeks. We’re staying with my Uncle Glen and Aunt Pat tonight and tomorrow.
